Depart Marrakech in the morning and journey across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass. Along the way, visit the traditional Berber village of Telouet and explore the historic Kasbah of El Glaoui. Continue to the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages. After lunch, travel through Ouarzazate toward the beautiful Dadès Valley, where you will spend the night in a charming riad or hotel.

After breakfast, drive through scenic landscapes dotted with Berber villages, passing Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud as the scenery gradually changes into Saharan oasis terrain. Arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy dinner and an evening of traditional Berber music before spending the night in a desert-side hotel.

Begin the day with a 4×4 exploration of the Erg Chebbi dunes, visiting nomadic families, palm oases, and old desert mines. Enjoy traditional Gnawa music in a local Berber home. In the afternoon, set out on a camel trek across the dunes as the sun sets over the Sahara. Arrive at your desert camp and enjoy dinner, drumming, and a magical night under the stars in fully equipped nomad tents.

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then return to Merzouga for breakfast and a shower. Travel west toward Ouarzazate, stopping along the way at local Berber artisan shops offering fossils, carpets, leather goods, and handicrafts. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon and spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

After breakfast, revisit Ait Benhaddou for a final exploration of this historic ksar, famously featured in films such as Gladiator. After lunch, cross the High Atlas Mountains once more via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, arriving back in Marrakech in the evening.
