This 12-day Morocco tour from Marrakech offers a complete journey through the country’s most iconic landscapes and cities. From the Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert to imperial cities, coastal towns, and ancient medinas, this experience blends culture, history, adventure, and comfort—perfect for travelers who want to see the real Morocco in one unforgettable trip.
Upon arrival at Marrakech Airport, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy your first stroll through the city. Overnight in Marrakech.
After breakfast, we head toward the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m). Along the way, we visit the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its role in major films. We continue through Ouarzazate and the Skoura palm grove before reaching the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight in the Dades Gorges.
We travel through Berber villages to the dramatic Todra Gorges, where you’ll have time to explore and relax. In the afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara. Enjoy a camel trek across the golden dunes at sunset, followed by a traditional dinner, Berber music, and a magical night under the stars in a desert camp.
Wake early to witness sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore the desert by 4×4: visit Khamlia village for Gnawa music, ancient mines, nomadic families, and scenic desert viewpoints. Return to your desert hotel for a relaxed afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Merzouga.
We journey through the lush Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Midelt. After lunch, we pass through the Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques, and stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” before arriving in Fes. Overnight in Fes.
Discover Morocco’s spiritual capital with a guided city tour: panoramic viewpoints, Royal Palace gates, ancient medersas, artisan quarters, and the famous Chouara Tanneries inside the medieval medina. Overnight in Fes.
We visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, then continue to Meknes, an imperial city known for Bab Mansour and Moulay Ismail’s mausoleum. In the afternoon, we drive to the blue city of Chefchaouen. Overnight in Chefchaouen.
Enjoy free time in Chefchaouen before heading to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, to visit the Hassan Tower and Mohammed V Mausoleum. Continue to Casablanca for overnight.
After breakfast, visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, dramatically located over the Atlantic Ocean. We then return to Marrakech. Overnight in Marrakech.
Explore Marrakech with a local guide: Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day trip to the Atlantic coast city of Essaouira. Enjoy free time to explore its medina, port, fortress, beach, and fresh seafood before returning to Marrakech in the evening.
